Sunlight. Here in East TN, the south-facing properties get the most sun. This is important for livestock, solar panels, and other reasons to stay warm in the wintertime.
Drainage. When it rains, it can pour here. Make sure your house isn’t going to be flooded!
Water source. There’s plenty of water available in East Tn homestead land, but make sure you have the rights to that creek or spring before you buy.
Space. Make sure you know how much acreage you need for your plans!
